About the Association

 

EUSA-JAPAN (European Union Studies Association in Japan) is an academic membership organization for academics, students and practitioners who are interested in all aspects of the European Union.

 


Establishment:

 

  • 8-9 November 1980 (established at The 5th Conference of EC scholars)

Our principal activities include:

 

  • Organizing conferences and research meetings
  • Issuing an institutional magazine and academic journal
  • Promoting communication and co-operation among researchers both in Japan and abroad

 


Membership:

 

  • Persons who make research on EU or who are engaged in a research related to EU are eligible to become members of our Association.
  • Persons (including also corporations) who pay the prescribed fees since they approve of our Association’s purpose and at the same time assist the Association in its work can be recommended to be Support members by way of discussion at the board of directors.
  • Based on the recommendation by the board of directors and following an approval by general meeting, persons who are meritorious in their EC/EU research or in the promotion of such research can become honorary members.
