Agreed by the Board of EUSA-Japan, 9th November 2024

EU Studies in Japan is a major annual journal of the EUSA-Japan (European Union Studies Association in Japan) publishing the best original research on the European integration. Paper submissions are welcomed from all members of EUSA-Japan.

1. Articles submitted to the EU Studies in Japan should be original contributions, and should not be submitted to any other publication at the same time.

2. The maximum length of the article, including references and footnotes, is 7,000 words in English.

3. Articles must be accompanied by an analytic summary of 300-400 words.

4. Those who wish to present her/his article at our annual conference must send an abstract to the secretary by the closing date that is specified each year (usually sometime in April). When the presentation is approved by the Association, she/he must submit her/his article to the programme director by the deadline specified (in principle, two weeks before the annual conference). After the presentation of the article at the conference, the finalized article should be sent to the editor-in-chief within two weeks after the conference.

5. Those who do not wish to present her/his article at our annual conference may submit her/his article to the editor-in-chief at any time, but must submit it not later than two weeks after the end of the annual conference. In this case, there is no need to submit an abstract beforehand.

6. Articles should be sent by e-mail with attached files to the editor-in-chief of the journal. The latest address of the editor-in-chief is posted on our website. Please refer to our website.

7. All papers will be subject to anonymous peer review.

8. The Journal will be published at the beginning of April of each year.

9. If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to the above mentioned editor-in-chief.
